Pitchfork: Album Reviews: Pearl Jam: Backspacer
Addendum to my post on “Even Flow” at SSC. I’m not really sure that the author of the Pitchfork article (which condemns the new PJ as the latest in a series of what he dubs “colorlessly unimaginative album[s]”) realizes the suggestion of comparing EV to The Simpsons - specifically, that he’s paying a compliment to his voice.
Regardless, it’s a terrific line.
