I don’t watch a lot of TV, but when I’m home and I’m not ready to start working again, I enjoy putting on Pardon the Interruption or a repeat of The Simpsons. Today was one of those days - the clock rolled to 4:57 and I flipped over to my local Fox affiliate for an hour of Simpsons repeats, only to find that it’s been replaced by something called “The Dr. Oz Show.” This, needless to say, is not what I wanted to watch, so the TV is off.
Upon further inspection, I found that there are now two Simpsons repeats on at 11:30 and midnight. I will probably watch that 11:30 episode almost every night (as long as it’s not an unwatchable repeat) and at least check in on the midnight airing as not to miss a classic episode. This means that I’m losing this early evening dose of comfort viewing for a late night fix. It also means trouble for falling asleep before midnight most nights.
